Sizing - The best way to assess the correct size is to get an existing skirt that is a good fit on your daughter.  The waistband should fit comfortably with 3 fingers for extra room.  Then with the skirt off, measure in inches flat across the waistband and double to find the waist required size.  For the length, measure from the waist to the top of the knee.  A regular (R) is 20" and a long (L) is 22".   Kilts must be worn to the knee.  Remember that for most girls their waist will get smaller after the age of 11 so we don't generally recommend buying excess room for growth.  Most girls will do down one if not two waist sizes during their time at secondary school.  Although there is an elastic waist adjuster in the waistband this is to 'fine tune' the kilt, not to compensate for a whole size
